Windows and Doors

Many contractors are advertising and recommending Vinyl windows.  Before you make a decision to replace your windows you should consider a few facts:

  • Vinyl windows are not the best protection in high windstorms.  The typical vinyl window can only withstand 100-120 mph winds, thermally broken windows will withstand 150-175 mph winds.
  • Typical tested samples for vinyl windows are only 6"x60",thermally broken alminum windows are tested using  42"x90" sample that still mantains more structual strength then vinyl frames.
  • Thermally broken aluminum windows maintain lower water and air infiltraion and 3 to 4 times greater structual strength in all sizes and applications.
  • Both thermally broken aluminum and vinyl framed windows offer a Lifetime Warranty.
